Boracay Island on Rainy Season

Boracay

Are you one of those people who always want to go to Boracay but do not want crowded place? Or were you able to buy a promo airplane ticket but the travel date is during the rainy season? Don\’t worry about that. Go with your plan but keep in mind that you are going there to enjoy.

If you are wondering what to do in the island during the rainy season or when there\’s a typhoon or habagat…

Then better continue reading… 😁

Me and my boyfriend went to the island when Typhoon Ineng was still in Basco, Batanes and some areas in the country were experiencing heavy rains and strong winds due to habagat and Boracay and the rest of Aklan were not exempted on that (some areas were even flooding).

The night we traveled to the island, the rain has been non-stopped. We boarded the speedboat of Southwest Tours (we booked our transfer through Cebu Pacific Air\’s CEB Transfer since both our flights are going to and from Kalibo which is approximately 2 hours away from the island) which gave us a hassle-free transfers. After 5 minutes, we arrived at the port on the other side of Boracay Island (where they will use during habagat season and the other port has strong waves).

After we checked in the resort, we decided to have a dinner at D\’ Mall. And when we were about to go back to the resort, here came the strong winds and heavy rain. That\’s how our night 1 ended, wet from free rain and sand shower. Great right! πŸ˜†

If you’re mind was set before going there that you want a total relaxation in the island, maybe after that incident you were cursing, mad and had a bad day. But if you’re main purpose in going there is to have fun, then after that, you will find yourself laughing after getting wet. Just like what we did! πŸ˜…

Our days 2 and 3 were intended for activities like island hopping, parasailing and helmet diving. We booked the activities and our resort through My Boracay Guide which made our trip so much fun, memorable and convenient.

But before that, we had our breakfast first and strolled in the seashore. After taking this picture, the heavy rain and strong wind striked again. And all that we can do was run to the resort. Early morning exercise! πŸ˜‹

The photo taken before the strong winds and heavy rain. The calm before the storm. πŸ’¨πŸŒŠ

Been like this for our whole stay πŸŒ΄πŸ’¨

The kind staff of Pamana Restaurant (owned by Heart Evangelista\’s Family) let us stay inside the resto while the rain and wind were strong 😌

If you are a worrier, then this might want you to just grab a book and stay all day in the resort. But of course, where is the fun there? You are in the island full of adventures, better try one! 😝

Since we booked our resort in My Boracay Guide, we were given a 5% discount to all activities that we want. That\’s a good savings already.

All of the following activities can be done even during the habagat or rainy season. Because these will be done at Bulabog, the other side of Boracay. This capability of Boracay to cater these activities either during summer or rainy season makes it an island for all season. No boring moment! πŸ˜‹

Indeed, you have a lot of things to do in Boracay Island. What you need to worry is that you run out of time yet you still want to have fun. One of the worst things to do there is leaving. But always say, until next time. πŸ˜ŒπŸ˜ŽπŸ‘£πŸ‘ŒπŸΌπŸ’•
