I was walking in the hallway to the restroom of our office. I saw one of our top managers. And then, I realized something.

That we are all the same.

Because for one we are human beings.

Rich or poor, with degree or haven\’t gone to school, lowest or highest position, have business or own nothing at all – we are all the same.

The rich may eat steak in their meal and the poor just eat egg. The rich may eat more than 3 times a day and the poor is not even sure to have 1 meal. The rich may afford to be in a high end restaurant and the poor may only eat along the street or in their small house.

But the end result is always the same. We all pee and poo to dispose what we have eaten and drank. The same waste.

The rich may have their own business and the poor has to strive hard to get a good job. The rich may be able to study in prestigious schools and the poor is not even sure if they can go to school. The rich may have more opportunities to earn big and the poor needs to double their effort to earn to survive for the day.

But the end result is always the same. Small or big money that we have, we will still spend it. Wherever or whenever or however may differ but we will all dispose our money. The same way.

The rich may be famous, anywhere they go people will recognize them. The poor may unpopular, no one would even greet them.

But the end result is always the same. We smile, we say hi and we bid goodbye.

The rich may sleep in a comfortable bed inside a cold and relaxing room. The poor may just lay on the floor, sweating because it gets hot and they don\’t have an ACU or even an Electric Fan.

But the end result is always the same. We close our eyes to sleep and we all have dreams & nightmares.

The rich may own huge houses, many properties, hectares or lot, luxurious cars and a lot more that by the look of them you can really tell that they are rich. The poor may own just a small house enough for their family to fit or maybe they don\’t own anything at all. They would walk to where they would need to go or commute. It would even hard for them to own an expensive thing.

But the end result is always the same. We all die. And when we die, even a single property can never be brought. Your houses, lots, cars will be left on earth. And those material things you have are not the basis to enter heaven.

Instead, it is the kind of person you are while you are alive. How you treat people and how much faith you have with God. It\’s like the measurement that Santa Claus has for the kids. Are you naughty or nice?

I did not say that we should not dream and work hard to have a luxurious life. Because we all want that. But what I am saying is that remain humble even how much you have got. Why? Because we will all become ashes one day. We cannot live earth forever.

And as what God said according to Luke 14:11, For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. 😉
